I just read a good book by a guy named Greg Mortensen. He builds schools in Afghanistan and gets around in an old Land Cruiser. He has to haul dynamite under his seat to blow up boulders or other things that might get in the way.

It's a pretty interesting look at what it's like to live over there. Imagine having to carry dynamite to blast through a road to get supplies to a school. What a life!

I was there for over a year and it has lots of great terrain to off-road on. I kept thinking most of my time over there.." Man I wish I had my truck" and " If only I could go over there".

Im a contractor in Afghanistan and while it may be tempting to go on an offroad joyride you have to keep in mind the Russians dumped thousands of land mines randomly all over the place out here...
