Anyone cut out a muffler?

Ok honestly... it will be unbearably/insanely loud. Your neighbours will hate you, everyone on the road will hate you, cops will ticket you and you'll hate yourself after 5 minutes of driving it.

That said, I've contemplated the idea of putting in a Y pipe before the muffler and having it switchable between the muffler and straight piping it for when I want to be an idiot out in the desert!

On my friends old bug we would remove the baffles from the stinger out in the desert, was great fun for short periods of time.

Did you replace the headers? That will get you way more HP than a muffler bypass on these. Unless you just want noise... Cause your way is the best way to get noise.

No headers i havent even thought about it yet. Im most likely going to do a muffler sway to a Magnaflow soon

Guys i need some insight (dont flame me please). Im pondering cutting out my muffler just to get some more sound of the car. I dont want to purchase a catback just yet. Has anyone cut out the muffler on their ride? If so how does it sound? Thanks in advance

Dude, I have a Flowmaster 50 series and honestly think that's about as loud as I'd like it. If you want throatier get a 40 series.

Please don't be that guy having the loudest truck in the neighborhood. No one likes that guy... I own a couple old motorcycles and hate warming them up on a cold morning and being that guy
