Anyone every seen these wheels on a 4Runner (FJ 18" ENKEI)...

I just picked up a set of 18" FJ Enkei, part #00041-60007. It seems that htey were a dealer installed option here in the Southeast. They are 18x8" with +15mm offset. This works out to ~5.09" backspacing vs the 5.43" on my stock SE 17s (9mm more inner clearance and should stick out 21mm out further).

I wasn't really looking for 18s but I just found such a good deal on these that I couldn't pass them up. Now im thinking 285/60/18 would look pretty good on these and should clear(barely) without the addition of spacers due to the extra 9mm inner clearance. Also, i'm thinking the tire should, theoretically, bulge less due to the rim being a hair wider???

I have never seen these on a 4runner and would love to see them mounted up if anyone has any pics. Here are a few of mine. I also Plasti-dipped one for good measure:cowboy: I think it looks pretty good...let me know what you guys think. And yes, these are from my Plasti-Dip thread lol.

I like the look of the rims! Normally I don't like FJ rims but these are a nice exception. Color wise black and chrome look nice, but I'm swinging more towards black.

Thanks guys. Pretty much exactly what I was thinking. I know the black on black is overplayed sometimes but I still like it.

I actually just got a set of 265/70 Dynapro ATMs for my SEs right before I found this set.:ybrick: Dont get me wrong, I love the ATMs. I Just wish I could've went with these rims/tires first.

As for the tire, im debating b/w the two most popular 285/60/18 flavors: Nitto TGs or Cooper Zeon LTZ. The TGs are 1/10th" wider and the Zeons are 3/10ths taller (vs each other). It will all come down to whichever one I find the best price on for a used set as I dont really "need" them.

Crimson, I prefer the black. These are great looking wheels, are they hub centric and work with the stock lug nuts? If you don't mind me asking, how good a deal were they and did you get them from the Toyota dealer? I really like the Coopers, That is what I am planning on getting if I can find some nice 18" wheels.

I didn't realize there were 2. I am still curious about the lugs and hub centric though. The other wheels I am thinking of (ATX Crawls) are not hub centric and need new lugs. Thanks

Thanks Burl, I agree with you and everyone else on the black. The wheels are hub centric and went on fine with my stock lugs. I actually picked these up from a buddy who just wanted to get rid of them. I got all 4 for $200...like I said, it was a deal I couldn't resist:thumb3: They are listed for $860 ($215 each) HERE at TRD Sparks although i'm not sure what other dealers may charge.

No problem. Looks like we were posting at the same time. I prefer hub centric but thats just me. Some people have reported balancing issues with non-hub centric although I have no personal experience on this issue. You could also look into hub centric rings to take up the extra gap on the hub...just a suggestion.

Those are nice wheels, but I think the stock wheels you have are nice too.
I would go black on either, although I prefer black with a silver lip.

You know my opinion on these. I say go black because it is a wheel that isn't very popular and really sets your 4runner off due to the black on black. Now get that lift on and those new tires and that will be a very nice looking 4Runner!

i don't see the big attraction towards black everything. you need some color to break up all monotone. if i had an all black truck i would have some sort of silver(ish) rims on it.

i guess its just an opinion though.

Yea, I like them. Honestly, I wouldn't have paid anywhere near that $860 but definately feel like they are worth what I paid. You need the FJ center cap. These came with the "torpedo" shaped ones that stick out, which I dislike. I'll try and find the flat center cap.

I love the stock SE rims too. Thats why I'm keeping them. And I had thought about the silver lip. I think it would look pretty good just to keep the outer edge(not the inside depth) silver. I may tape off one and just test out the look. I'll be sure to post pics of course....

I definately agree with you...somewhat. As I said, It seems, on the internet at least, that black on black has been overplayed. BUT, I still like the look and may try it out as my stocks are still silver. In regards to the contrast, as you can see in the pictures, the flat black is noticeably different than the glossy black on the body...so the contrast is still there, albeit small. However, I would not want to run glossy black rims for that very reason.

Actually, the wheels are still in my closet. I dont have any tires for them yet, and unless I find an amazing deal on a set of 18" Tires...it may have to wait till my new Hankooks wear out.

However, My new suspension is on the way and I will probably want to upgrade tires even more once that is on. You know how that goes...
