Anyone got a pic of BFG KO2 275/70R17 on your 4R without lift?

Looking around for option. I've read somewhere the TRD wheel doesn't have the same offsets as the trail wheel.

Will it rub if i install 275/70r17 on TRD wheel on my trail stock height?

Hey bud - Fellow TRD Pro soon-to-be owner here. You having zero issues with rub still? Thinking of getting the KO2 and wondering if i do 265 or 275. I dont want to modify anything else under there...

I've had the 275s on my TRDP for about a year now, if I had it to do over again, I'd definitely get the 265s instead. I've had no issues at all with rubbing under any circumstance, and I've done some pretty gnarly wheeling out in Arizona, but the weight penalty from the stock tires to the E-load 275s is brutal. The gas mileage penalty is abysmal and the thing cannot get out of its own way on any sort of incline. Unless you're off-road all the time and running very low tire pressures, the weight penalty for E-load tires just ain't worth it in my opinion.

All Terrain Tires

I am wanting to put 20' wheels on my 2014 4-runner but I want an All terrain tire that will not rub WITHOUT a life right now. Any good idea? Tire racks does not bring up any.

Thanks for this post. I was on the fence about 275 KO2 but I think I'll get the 265. Do you have a photo of the 265 by chance on your car?

far right is mine on 265's stock height. Silver one next to me is on 275's on a 3" Icon lift i believe. Not sure what the guy on the end was running.

FWIW I'm averaging only 17.8 mpg from the on board computer doing mostly freeway driving to and from work. I'm a pretty conservative driver as well. I have them set at 38 psi. That seems off to me as I've seen guys with the 275 E loads getting over 18 mpg.

Great thread, just read through it all.

Have a '14 TE. I love the TRD Wheels and would like to go black or dark grey, but it sounds like that will almost surely result in trimming/moving to resolve rub.

Are there wheels that match the offset/backspace and whatever else matters to the TE wheel? After reading through, I'm reconsidering 275s for 265s - would that clear up the custom wheel issue if I stayed w/ 265s (but in the BFG tire)? Thanks.

Sorry bud, I didn't buy the 265 BFGs, I wish I would have because they are available in a C-load and I reckon the rig would feel a lot better with those on there than the E-loads for my usage.

Just put them on, a little rubbing that seems to have been fixed by removing the mud flaps and pushing the front fender liner forward a bit.

It's a little difficult to tell, but here's my 275/70 next to my cousin's TRD Pro on 265/70. Both stock suspension.

Mine (on right) is on SR5 suspension, cousin (left) on KDSS.

I got these 265/70/17 C rated and they are a good proportionate size IMO..

Not in the 275 size, unless they started making them recently. If you want the C rating you have to go with a 265.

I have 2 set of wheels for my truck, Summer and Winter. I have 265 AT tires for winter and 275 AS tires for Summer and I find the 275's to be so heavy. When the time comes, I'm going with 265's for sure.
