anyone had to replace a smart key?

So....being the infinite blonde that I am, I've somehow lost my key to my t4r. I've got the spare, but it still bugs me that I set it down somewhere and it disappeared. I've called everywhere/one I was on friday to see if anyone found it but alas, it's gone with the ghost.

Has anyone bought a replacement yet? Any quotes on what people have gotten, to include the programming?


I'm seriously madder'n hell at myself for this one.

The std one for the SR5 ran me around $250 so I'm guess like he said above it is more for the smart key on the 4R.

the one on my old lexus is350 cost around 350. so id figure between 250-350. keep looking.

my parts guy quoted me 387 plus tax and labor. the only one i found on ebay was the same price. Gotta love a good part guy.

I was at a big fundraiser at a friend's house a couple weeks ago and lost the key to my ride.

I popped into where all the kids were hanging out and told them the first person to find my key would get $10.

If I lose one that's the route I'm going to try. I saw the TIS software I have has a part to reprogram the key and looked pretty straight forward.
