Cookeville RV does excellent work including A/C. Franklin's Auto Repair in Jamestown also does, but they're probably farther away.

Couple weeks ago I made the trip all the way back to Yellow Doors Overlook. 14 miles of good 4x4 trail!

Right after I passed I thought- Was that Neil?? LOL

Where is Chimney Rock? I want to go there but have no clue where it is out there.

I love the Yellow Doors trail! We have a great secluded campsite off that trail.

Have you ever been to Tea Cup Rock? It was amazing! We also found an unmarked overlook south of the trail to the Wagon Gap Overlook.

Chimney rock is not too hard to get to. You take the first right after turning onto the road to Yellow Doors, keep right, and drive till you get to the dead end where there's a brown iron gate. Then it's just about a 2 mile hike on a disused but visible trail. Lots of elevation change and I'd recommend a hiking GPS app just in case you lose the trail, though if you stick to the ridgetop you won't get lost easily.

Pretty sure Tea Cup is the only one I haven't made it to yet, but it looks like it's worth the trip! How did you guys get there?

Do you have the Pickett Trails KMZ file? Tea Cup Rock is on there. We got there with that stock TJ, so you should be fine. We're probably going to make a 4 or 5 day trip in December. I'll let you know when we decide to go.

Looking for trails in midtn, anyone have some suggestions... like south of Nashville.

Look up Dirt Devil Trail. It's not hard core, more scenic from what I've heard, but supposedly pretty nice. There's a guy who sells maps for like $20. Nice guy, I was happy to support his business. It's just south of spring hill, I think.

Our family has explored the Tennessee Dirt Devil Trails a couple of times. It is essentially low maintenance public roads with creek crossings and beautiful scenery. Both times we made a stop in Liepers Fork either before or after.

On a side note...

I have the next two or three weeks mostly off if anybody wants to run Pickett or surrounding trails.

Haven't decided when I'll go yet so I thought I'd throw that out there. They may be a little too sloppy this weekend, but I'm always willing to give it a shot if there's plenty of people around to pull each other out.
