Anyone replaced their rear-view mirror with one from a Lexus?

A bit of a strange question, but my mom's 2016 Lexus ES350 has one of the nicest rear-view mirrors I ever seen. It's semi-borderless and the field of view is great compared to other stock vehicles. It might look a little out of place inside a 4Runner, but I don't think I care.

Has anyone here swapped in a Lexus rear-view mirror?

Not really sure what is different about it. Looks similar to the autodimming one I have stock. Except no compass or Homelink in the 4runner mirrors.

I've had two 4runner rear view mirrors start rattling on me.. not sure why cause I don't ever really touch it and I'm the only one who drives it. If it happens again maybe I'll try this, I don't use home link.

Southeast Toyota Distributors offers a very similar mirror as option for the 4Runner. Part number is 00016-05463. It is electrochromic with Homelink and compass.

If you search the part number in google the first couple of results are PDF installation instructions.

Yeah I picked up one on Amazon and it does look very nice, not out of place at all. Very sleek. Auto dimming works like a champ. Real easy to install with just a +12 and ground wire. I did not get the version with homelink, too pricey

Nope,, one I ordered slid right on.

There is no need for any mirror there for me but since it is there I'd stick with factory one. How is any mirror better? Only benefit I can see if replacement is smaller to give you better forward view trough the windshield.
