Anyone use these to mount a Fire Extinguisher?

Was thinking of using a couple of these to mount my 4.5" diameter extinguisher horizontally on the panel over the left rear wheel well.
They are called Long Arm Quick Fist® Clamps for items up to 4.5", I used some smaller ones to mount a shovel on the roof rack and so far has worked out great.

Do you think that panel is sturdy enough if I use some kind of backplate for support? I have tried all different locations and this spot seems to work for best for me - any tips appreciated.

I've mounted one of those $18 fire extinguishers from Walmart right next to the cargo tool kit door vertically with simple nut and bolt and so far so good.

I have seen quite a few people use quick fist clamps to secure their CO2 tanks. If they can hold a 10 gallon CO2 tank they should be more then ok for a smaller fire extinguisher.

That's a great spot too, but I'm making a 5" high storage platform for the cargo area and want to take it all the way to the back corners. I suppose I could just cut a 4.5" circle in the platform and have the extinguisher just set nice and snug right in that. Hhhmmmm....

I use the quick fists... Not sure if it was that exact one. I just installed it where the cargo cover mount is.

Thanks, if you have a minute sometime could you post a pic - I use my Runner like a pickup up here and need to keep it mounted up and out of the way so that location could work as well. My yellow lab is with me 90% of the time so the back seats are folded down making the rear floor area is inaccessible and not an option either.
