Yes, I read on a forum that anyone with a Prius could do it now, lol.
 
The recent rain likely changed the landscape of Diablo Drop-off. It rained the day before I went and it made it fun to go down. Although there's still a steep section and uneven terrain, I'm 99% positive a stock runner will make it. Heck, I have the 20" rims w/ ATs and I was able to go up DD in reverse.

Going for the two day but not too sure yet.

I've never been there so what's the meet up time and location like? I'm 2-3 hours away.

I really like fish creek, but blair valley is free too and it's about 2000' higher in elevation. I think the temp's in fish creek are going to be in the low 90's and that to hot for me to be hanging around a campsite, especially with little kids.

If you guys have a specific time your running certain trails let me know and I'm sure I can make some. We'll be there Saturday morning until Monday. Cell service is spotty, but I've got a hand held CB (also spotty but oh well.) Should be a good weekend.

Dig recommend to meet at the Chevron off of I8
I don't know about the time though because we don't have a firm consensus yet on whose going, aside from KVA, but he is not camping.

I'm open to anything that I can drive to with no lift.
 
If we end up going, I'll likely be there by 1:30. The trail to the Mud Caves takes about 15-20 minutes so we'll have 4 hours to explore. That's enough time go through the caves and the not as famous (but just as fun) slots on the opposite side. Sunset is at 7:40 so it would be best to head to or find a campsite by no later than 6:15. That should be plenty of time to unload, setup and cook before sundown. I'll have kids with me so things might take longer than usual =). Afterward, it's about kicking back, listening to music and enjoying company.

Sunrises at 5:40 on Monday. I'd like to see Font's Point while the air is still crisp. Its a hell of a sight.

I am in to meet at the Chevron. I am an early bird so earlier the better, especially since I am limited to the day - but I've got the whole day! How about 9am. Looks like a high of 87 for Sunday and low 70's in the morning.

Might be good to meet and scope the place out while allowing yourself to figure out potential camping spots. If it's early enough we can do your breather mod, lol!

I used channel 15 in the past but please let me know what channel you guys decide on.
 
If it were just me, I'd get there by 8am... but w/ the kids and others potentially joining, there's bound to be some lag.

Either way, don't fret hitting the trails. Your runner can manage and you have navigation in form of the offline app.

We can caravan up there Sunday morning, I may even be able to go Saturday night.

I'm up in the LA area.

Been jumping in and out of this thread and didn't notice that it was sunday/monday only... I have plans for monday already and was thinking a sat/sun would work. Day trip is tough since it's around 4 hours each way. :redbrick: I was excited to go! If i can make it work i'll still try for a sat/sun and meet up sun with you guys.

I might not be able to camp but I want to go so I'm gonna make it work.

So who's going and what time are we starting?

If it's at 8-9 meet up who's in? I'm up for this timeframe.

1:30pm for DigableKid (maybe we can set a meet up location along the trail?) I don't have an suggestions since I've never been. Any recommendations?

Have a good trip and post the pics! Looking forward to them.

I'm camping just outside of Zion right now - in the rain. Tent (and the gf) seems to be holding up well.
