Speaking of video...where are the drone guys?! I want to see the video they promised of the flyby in Sandstone Canyon and dive bombing the campsite in Sheep Canyon! :rockon:

One of them (sorry, didn't catch his name) said they would have the video when I asked about it in Sandstone Canyon. Admittedly, I'm just being really optimistic about some Sheep Canyon footage.

So looked into it....apparently its from heavy metals in the dirt reacting with the rubber...when its on the tire it turns it blue. It doesnt happen to all tires and not all mud does it. It can be removed with degreaser and a good scrub brush then tire dressing to bring it back and protect it.

Don't think mine turned blue but I won't know until I get the rest of the mud off and see it in the daytime. Doesn't bother me either way, haha. Trail rig and all.

I had a great time offroad and camping was awesome in Sheep Canyon. Great company, food, beer, camp fire, perfect weather and awesome scenery. What more could you ask for? Big thanks to Miah and Al for leading the SoCal group on this adventure!

I took a few photos with my iPotato. Wish I would have taken more but hopefully a few more people will post up what they have and can't wait to see some video footage of Sanstone Canyon.

In your defense, Cole actually does video for a living. I can't wait to see the video of me doing that second obstacle in sandstone.

Beginning of the New year with a Meet & Run Event of this magnitude and our "photographer" isn't there to capture any of it as it goes down in history ..what a shame!!!

He "thee photographer" was rockin two different styles of video drones, couple cameras with multiple size lenses which were much larger than what that "other photographer guy" uses. Also was very involved and making sure he got ahead of the group to set up for video and still shots at all the action sections of each trail. Definitely took his job serious and was all about getting the shot!! Wasn't worried about himself and wheeling like that "other guy"..and to top it off he was wheeling in class and style in a 5th gen fresh off the lot..now that's a next level photographer.
He is actually doing a complete article on Our run and T4R of SoCal (us) and it being what brought us all together.

Ya the rock garden wasn't very ....rocky. Super easy kind of a let down but the campsite made up for it

:cheer2::cheer2: Haha you can mention me I don't care lol. I'm happy you guys had someone there to grab sick photos of you guys. Me, I like to stay within the pack because I feel like I'm there for the run more than obligated like it's my job to take photos. That's just me though, good for him for taking the initiative. I started my Spring Intersession course on the 2nd and can't really make it to anything until i'm done at the end of the month. Excuses aside, glad you guys made it home safe and enjoyed the run.

Agreed. I think it's much smoother. When we camped up there for new years we saw a honda element at the top. That wouldn't used to have happened.

4 of us went up Diablo later Sunday afternoon, that's where all that sloppy mud was. Not sure what the other canyon we were in.

Oh yeah. At least one of my tires is blue.

probably arroyo seco del diablo if you went up the drop off. It's a normal small slot canyon.

We went straight to sandstone, then passed diablo drop off (myself and Miah only saw closed signs where the turn was). We went with the flow and ended up going up north fork fish creek. It was super fun, lots of technical tight sections going up the wash which is usually easy as can be, made it pretty far up then turned back to main wash and by then it was dark. Drunner, mac, and mr.133537 went up diablo drop off in the dark as they planned on camping again that night at Blair valley....then they stuck in some mud
