+1 to leave the name. I feel that we have a large street following on this site compared to any other toyota or 4runner site for that matter. Noone jumps on people for liking a certain style. Everyone here is surprisingly civil and accepts every one elses tastes it seems.

Keep the name... and the owner and moderator relationship between GG and Thai. Who cares if Thai doesn't even own a 4runner, he has a wealth of offroading knowledge that everyone can benifit from. Besides, its good to have diversity even between the moderators because that in itself diversifies the group.
Yes, their are more street rigs here than offroaders, but as it has in the past, let the forum pave its own path. Its not like that has stopped members in the past. They just subscribe to other forums as well.

IMHO, the name should stay the way it current is, toyota-4runner.org and t4r.org. This way the name says it all, it's a Toyota 4Runner forum. Adding a sub-forum for folks who have street trucks isn't a bad idea for those that desire a street truck; we have an off-roading sub-forum already catering to owners whose trucks leave pavement.
I don't see the point in adding "street and terrain" to the name and to play devil's advocate what about those who are audiophiles and into ICE (in-car entertainment), do we then make it street-terrain-mobile-ICE-T4R.org?
I hate to see the forum torn apart. I haven't been around here as long as others, but it's a great place for seeking and sharing information and ideas with very little drama and the BS that typically flood other forums. I hope everything works out between parties and this forum will continue to be the same reaching its next milestone with 20,000 members.

I have not been around here as long as others around here has, but even though I don't offroad at all and would like to, I am a street T4R. I mos def think we should leave the name the same, T4R.org or toyota-4runner.org, and not change it, it would be different than the original starting of the 4Runner forum, to be about 4Runners, and not street and terrain. Now, I can see why you would want to change the name, but it isn't worth it, its too much hassle, and I agree that a "Street & Terrain-T4R.org" sticker would almost take up the whole window. A sub forum, much like the 3rd gen forum, or the FJ Cruiser sub forum, would appeal to much more than the name change. Also, post a poll if necessary, but I would say just add sub forum. Also, even though 84% of all members don't offroad, doesn't mean we should change the name of the forum. Since most americans is broke, should we change our name to pormerica? (Actually, now that I think of it, that doesn't really make sense). Also, kind of off-topic, but I was happy to see my Cheez-It vs. Cheese-Nip poll mentioned.lol. Feef out.

It's true. I have been (or at least used to be) friends with Thai for a long time. His new wife only married him cuz of his money and is turning Thai against all his old friends, not just me. I just want to say that ever since I bought my 4Runner I have come to this site daily and even made a few friends. It even swayed me to buy a second 4Runner believe it or not. The wealth of information and general camaraderie over a common interest for a particular vehicle is imho kind of remarkable. Everybody helps everyone out. Sounds cliche and cheesey but it's true. Now whatever name or direction the forum/site goes I will still come back. What's in a name anyway? Even if Toyota's Japanese to *Engrish* marketing department renamed the 4Runner as the Hilux Surf Trucky Super Snappy I'd still drive it.
Now I'm not one to get in the middle of any quarreling parties, but I think I can speak for most of the members when I say I'd hate to see any of the long time members leave because of something seemingly silly like this. I myself have not been here long enough compared to others, but I have the utmost respect for both Greg and Thai and appreciate what they put into this site. I hope you guys can work it out.
