Since you have it at home... can you post some pics on the mounting points on the compressor with a measurement reference... that should help me with my bracket thoughts

Here's some pics of the mounts. The compressor comes with a mounting template (compressor intake is on the left in the pic), the manifold (mini-tank) does not come with a template. The holes for the manifold are 5/16", 3/4" center to center on the ends and 4-5/16 center to center end-to-end

Thanks Grant, is there a document number on those instructions? I can't quite read the numbers on the template and was going to see if its posted online in PDF somewhere.

The destructions say to use only 4 mounting points, 1 from each group A..D

One last note, the holes in the manifold mount are just that, holes. The holes on the compressor mount are threaded (embedded nuts) so the bolts have to come in from the bottom and are length limited to about 3/4" before they will hit the compressor's cylinders.

No worries! That was definitely a worthwhile hijack. Those pictures will be very beneficial to me and most anyone else that is going to be installing a locker. so HiJack away!
On another note, I will be posting a more complete breakdown of the parts I have this weekend when I head home for Easter. Hopefully then I car figure out what I don't have or what I may need to get before the install happens. phillyd2 when is yours going in?

I would say about a week after I get all the parts in house. Only ordered yesterday and I'm still waiting to hear how long to ship.

I just got home and had some time to snag some more pictures of the locker and what was included.
(I didn't bring my laptop home from school, so all of this is being posted from my phone, hopefully it works)
First here is the nice collection of stuff that I am saving for summer vacation:
Next here is what was inside that plastic bag with the locker:
The top ring with the brass piping slides off the top, here is that taken off:
Finally here is the locker at several angles with the ring from the previous picture removed:
So what do you think guys/Ducmonsta - do I need to pick up any extra parts?

I'm assuming you've ordered the installation kit. Carrier bearings, pinion bearings, pinion seal, etc...
Check with ARB and make sure the installation kit will work with your 4runner. The carrier bearing on the "trigger" side of the locker most likely needs to come from Toyota. Or the other side, can't remember.
I don't recall anything about what compressor you're running, but you'll most likely need the ARB manifold or pressure regulator.

I'll call ARB this week and find out what installation kit I will need. They are usually pretty helpful so I will get that on the way.
As far as the compressor goes, I am 90% sure I am getting the ARB twin with the with manifold kit and possibly an additional 1 ga. tank. Still debating there. The Viair options are cheaper but not as compact as the ARB model, nor do they have as simple integration with the air locker solenoids.

I just spoke with ARB today and they said that since they do not package the locker with bearings, that indicates that you should re-use the factory bearings.
Also they referred me to Nitro Gear for an installation kit, so I think I will end up with the same one that phillyd2 got (the JT-IK T8.2 Mini Install Kit). I will be ordering that in a few days.
