I'm also a member of a Corvette forum, and people there are similar to T4R in that they frequently like to "mod" their vehicle. Often, the mods are performance-driven, but just as often they are cosmetic modifications.
I've noticed that people here seem to fit the same mold. I will probably stray away from the stock tires after the Dunlops wear out, but for the most part I plan to keep my 4R stock.
I do kinda like some of the center protectors, but I doubt I'll ever put one on. I could maybe see myself doing some little bolt-ons that might add a few HP here and there. For the most part, though, I tend to think the vehicle was engineered a certain way, and I kinda like to leave it alone. Anyone else in this boat?
By the way, I've done the custom wheel/tire + dual exhaust thing on my Tahoe, so I'm not anti-mod, I'm just thinking I might take a different philosophy with my 4R.
