Yeah, I hear that. Some of the new changes / features are a PITA. I still have a foot in both sites, but I am probably less active overall.
I have always have had to use a photo editor to decrease the size of photos I uploaded per T4R's site requirements. But I suspect that what should be otherwise decent pics, once reduced, turn into blurry crap not worth posting. Still need to sort that out.

I have better things to do and better places to be.
It's always been sorta slow and clunky but now it's even worse since the hack. It feels like a totally different forum these days. Sure it has great tech, but all the OG guys are either gone, or just don't update often. Not a lot of fun stuff to see that is really offroad related, which is primarily what I want to see, even though this isn't an offroad oriented site. Hence why the new forum is not platform specific, it's IFS Offroad specific which is what most of us are looking to see in the first place.
I've always used tapatalk to upload photos, and that was already a PITA, but between tapatalk starting to suck even more ass these days, and the site changes, it just isn't quite as fun or easy to come here and share things.
I have the same username on IG as I do here, so that's easy to find. IG is fun, but it's definitely a lot of "Do it for the gram", instead of just sharing things that are fun. Not a lot of people share the tech side of things on IG, which is what I am always interested. Not just neat pics of some truck flexed on a dirt mound hahah

By no means am I any part of the "old Guard" here. But I just want to say that seeing build threads like your really inspires me to do something coll and interesting on my truck. It would really be a loss if all the serious builds left and then all we had was 5th gens flexing on mall curbs.

There is some good stuff on insta forsure, but you definitely need to dig for it. I like watching the guys share info as they build their trucks. Many just take pics of things when it's done and don't care to share the "why and how" behind it. I love the forums. It's just like pulling teeth to get people to actually update their build threads these days. And this site makes it hard to post new pics of my progress, so it takes some of the fun away.

Thanks man! I'm glad I can help inspire you to do something cool. I remember being in your shoes a few years ago watching builds like [MENTION=67615]Dirtco[/MENTION] and thinking how I'd love to be doing even half as cool shit as he is.
Just be careful going down the rabbit hole of constantly chopping your truck up. Sometimes I question my actions, but it is a lot of fun finishing new projects and increasing performance. My next project is to cut everything (body wise) off from the firewall forward. My core support and inner fender wells are completely falling apart, so I'll be doing an engine cage, new core support, new extra high clearance bumper, and probably new headlights. Should be a fun project. Hopefully not too long after that I'd like to be doing a full cab cage. I've pushed my luck too much and if I do long travel I NEED to have a full cage with race seats.
Let's hope this place doesn't just turn into only mall crawlers. I have hope!

Figured some of you might enjoy seeing this. It's not 100% done yet, since I still need to make some skids, fix some brake lines, mount the battery in the rear cargo area (and wire it) and get some new corner lights and filler panels. It's coming together though.

Nice approach angle. I can't wait to get on the Dusy and see how much of a difference that makes. Are you worried about the winch center line being higher then the fairlead or is that an optical illusion?

The winch centerline is supposed to be higher than the fairlead centerline. You want the fairlead hole to be centered with the range of the winch line coming off the bottom of the spool.
