Audiophiles/stereo heads- easy question?

The current adapter? What/where is that? Is it between the woofer and tweeter?

You’ll see it when you open up the door...can’t miss it. It’s located between the woofer and the door. There’s a little clip on the door that holds the part that plugs into this harness in place. If you buy from crutchfield they will sometimes throw them in for free. If not they’re available on Amazon for like $6. Here’s a photo:

First time post on this forum. I just bought a 2000 Limited and I'm about to overhaul the entire stereo.

Where do you wire in the crossovers if you are using the factory connectors?

Also if I run components up front and coaxials in the rear do I need a 4 channel amp or a 6 channel? Does the tweeters get their own channel... I guess that is what I'm asking.

Crossovers secured on to the door panel (or front kick panels or where ever you choose). A 4 channel is fine-tweets run with component crossovers not separate, rear channel to rear door speakers. 6 channel if 2 of those channels are to be used running a sub-it'll run the entire system. (tweets, front door, rear door, sub).
