Thanks for the feedback. My Spartan locker is pretty loud while ratcheting around turns, but I don't DD it so it's not a huge deal for me.

Great looking runner btw, you should definitely go out to Moab. I wish I could :sad:

By the way, rocksliders weld to the frame correct? I'm alittle uneasy about that, doesn't welding stuff onto the frame make it weaker?

I had the same question when I first started thinking about rock sliders. I wouldn't worry about weakening your frame, folks weld sliders to their frames all the time and don't have any trouble at all. Bolts are going to be weaker than welds, and I'd hate to have one break and shove the sliders up into my rocker panel. I'd rather weld on my frame than drill holes in it anyway. As long as whoever has the welder knows what they're doing, I wouldn't sweat it.

That's why you see people weld plates to the frame where the slider tubes will mount--it beefs up the frame at the most critical points.

Wow, I don't think I've ever heard of a National Forest being completely and utterly closed like that. It's going to be a long summer.

Part of why I'd like to move.. NM's going back into its "normal" cycle.. it's been the wettest past 100 years or so in NM history.. not anymore.. we had like 4 inches of rain last year-maybe..wells are drying up (My main concern- I want land and horses)..this year aint boding well either.

ANYWAY

Thanks! My Toy is coming along swimmingly - I'm really in love with it! More reason not to do anything too stupid offroad :P
