Baja Rack-Hi Lift

Does anyone have a hi lift mounted to standard baja rack on their 5th gens?

Im looking for a cheaper mounting option other than the baja rack accessory.

Yes, but I used their mount. For $75 it was not worth my time to make my own.

Baja Rack Hi Lift mount

I always prefer the DIY accessories. I don't care for how the lift hangs off the side of the roof rack with the Baja Rack mount. I'd probably make a couple of wood blocks to fit the rack floor to keep it from rattling and then tie it down with 1/4" rope. But the Baja mount is quicker and easier to use and for some reason it's only $70 for the mount to fit the Standard Roof Rack. And who knows, the Baja mount may fit the floor of the roof rack as well as the side rails?

I have a set of these

I have them set up across the back above the shark fin, and just fold them down when I don't have the jack mounted up.

I've used two of these
GRAINGER APPROVED Repair Clamp,Single Bolt,2 In,304 SS - Pipe Hangers and Clamps - 24T950|24T950 - Grainger Industrial Supply

You can get them in 3/4" for about $8 each at a hardware store and will fit the standard baja rack. I couldn't find any pics of how I had it mounted but here's how it mounted to my FJ rack. You might need to get two longer bolts and wingnuts. But they work and are cheap and they dont budge.

Hello and thank you for doing what I want to do.

Do you have photo(s) of jack mounted on the Baja Rack mounts?

Do you (anybody?) use the shovel/axe mounts from Baja Rack?? Photos??

(I searched - really I did - honestly.)

I've decided on full length Baja Rack, mesh floor, sunroof cut out. Want to put jack, axe and shovel back on top and think I want the Baja Rack thingies but sure could use photos before I get them.
