Yesterday I noticed that the battery on the 1992 T4R I just purchased was leaking...from the nearest pulley rubbing on the side of it at some point. I bought an Optima to replace it, and had a chance to install it tonight.
The existing connectors are kinda sh!tty. On the negative side, there was a short hunk of wire that I believe is part of a ground connection that was also attached to the battery connector somehow. The issue is that this length of wire is too short to reach the connector (or a new connector, for that matter).
I guess my question is:
Is this truly a ground wire (and therefore, important)?
If so, does anyone know what gauge wire this would be?
Any help would be appreciated!
