Beep coming out of 4hi to 2wd...

... I've tried searching, but came up only with beeping in 4lo. Is this beep normal for y'all when coming out of 4hi to 2wd?

I have a 2013 TE.

I have only ever heard a beep going into 4Lo like you mentioned. Might have been the traction control?

It's the darnedest thing. It was my first time wheeling it since I bought it. I threw it into 4hi a few times this winter and never heard it before...

I also smashed my right rear fender flare pretty good. Half of it pooped off and looks like they broke the clips.

Yep. One quick short beep. Going fastish down a dirt road under braking. I wanted to get it in 2wd before I got to the pavement. I think it was telling me that it prefers to shift with no or little load on the drivetrain.

Interesting. Maybe that was the issue?

I couldn't get it to repeat it last night or today.
