Maybe Bilstein will release their Bilstein 60mm BTS System in time for black Friday!
Never even heard of them or him...hoping he chimes in.... they're literally right around the corner from me...wonder what their labor rates are...
what you guys think of this?

and adding the 2 inch toytec superflex rear coils? for 550.00 total
I keep hearing that all the lifts for the T4R can only run 285s. I have 305/70s (16 inch rim mind you) on the FJ with about 2.5 or less of lift. They fit just fine even with 10 inch wide wheels and 1.5 inch spacers to keep them off the UCAs. Body mount chop is pretty much a given. Why does the T4R have to go with so much smaller of a tire?
Because the bodies are different. Just look at the fender wells.
Are the fenders on the T4R really that much tighter and lower?
Well.. Yeah.. But once you get the lift under there the tires should be easy to clear. Are the fenders on the T4R really that much tighter and lower? Or is it that they are smaller maybe as far as volume. So this then begs the question: There are many 6 inch lifts for the FJ but I only see 3 inch and under for the T4R. Are they not pretty much the same thing underneath??
The current plan if I go with a T4R is probably to start with the TRD Pro and 2 inch top spacers to keep the springs and components of the Pro. Slap in some 295s and wheel spacers. I may have to keep the FJ around to use as a tester until I get the T4R where I want it. It's odd that Toyota would make it so difficult to put big tires under their offroader. Makes me wish they had just built the 4 door FJ.
What would you use the FJ to "test"? Why is it of your opinion that the 4R is Toyota's "offroader"? I understand that its one of the last BOF SUVs. But Toyota's target demographic is not for the "off roading" community.
And lastly, 285s to 305s does not make a significant amount of difference when wheeling. The driver's skill does.
I'm in shock no one has told you to use the search function. I was scrolling thru and I couldn't believe what I was reading, and it wasn't met with the sledge hammer named "search first"...... Maybe it's just that good ole' holiday cheer????
