Best app to check gas mileage and monitor other info with Veepeak OBD

I leave my little bluetooth OBDII unit plugged in all the time, unless I know I won't be driving for a few days in a row. No issues at all. Mine doesn't draw a ton of current, just a couple LEDs and the little bluetooth UHF radio transmitter.

Your issue with a freezing cluster sounds like a symptom of some deeper electrical issue. Not sure where to start investigating that, but you might consider looking into it. I wonder if there's some loose connector somewhere that looses continuity during heavy vibration?

Maybe my adapter unit is defective or something... The issue only happens with it plugged in.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to try a new adapter with this new cool application.

Yeah, the app connects via Bluetooth to a wireless OBDII reader/adapter.

The OBDII port is under the dash in the driver footwell.

Would you know how to add the transmission temp gauge to the dashboard on the fusion? I can’t find it or any option on checking the auto transmission temp?

Sorry for the delayed response. I'm apparently not on here enough lol. Fusion has it buried in a few menu levels as follows...

Display Configuration / PID / Toyota, Lexus, Scion / Engine and Electronically Controlled Transmission / AT Fluid Temp ('C, 'F)

I'm pretty sure this is the one I used prior.
