Best Color for Trail Edition?

White is my preference, but that's expensive (and it's not a true TE, though can be made just/if not more capable).

Silver is the best color for offroading IMO.

I settled for black.

How do you like the salsa red after owning? How does cleaning/imperfections compare to a black vehicle? I have a black 99 Tacoma and it is impossible to keep looking clean without a once a week washing.

Everyone says that pictures on the internet don't do justice to the reds and blues. My buddy in KC saw a red one in person and said it was pretty bada$$!

I DO like the silver, no questions - it ain't going anywhere!

But as for voting black:
1. It's a 4runner so my worries about keeping black clean (a pain in the *ss) shouldn't have swayed me when buying...but it did (i.e., dirty black is fine on a 4runner (vs. a sports car))
2. Aftermarket wheels look better on black no matter what color they are! Vain I know, but I'm having a hell of time trying to determine what wheels for my 4 (black, stock, polished steel...)! :D
3. My past two Tacoma's were Black and Black Sand, and now I think I miss them. ;)

I like it, but I'm terrible about washing my vehicles. I've had it 5 1/2 months and have yet to wash it, but have cleaned and vacumed the interior numerous times. It really doesn't show dirt too bad. I'm off to Ouray next week, so it will have earned a good washing after that.
 
Other than white?

Spruce Mica. That's the color mine will be when the wife is sick of the pinstripes and stuff that junior did to the doors.
 
Why no Mag Gray? It's da business!!!

Blizzard Pearl would be awesome only if you could get gray leather. Most come with tan leather. Probably would of ended up with that if the one on lot was gray leather. Love my choice now that it has gotten more "stealthy". BUT your talking TE, so I digress....

RE: #2 -- they are not cheap, but they are factory.....they now make 6 lug Rock Warrior wheels that fit the 4runners. I think those would look sweet on your TE

RE: #3 -- my 99 Tacoma TRD is black. When it's clean, there ain't nothing finer. But when it's not, which is 90% of the time, ugh! And every little blemish, door ding, and offroad pinstripe is so noticeable. But then when I walk out of someplace at night....fall in love again. Its a love/hate relationship with a lack vehicle, for sure!
 
First, I wanted a gray one, but decided that was too boring. Saw pix of red TE and a red SR5 in real life and decided I had to have the red.

I'm not a big fan of all black for any vehicle and in particular don't like the black TE with black wheels - looks like a black hole.

I also would never buy a white vehicle of any kind, but think a white TE conversion would look pretty good.

These are just my personal preferences, and judging from the poll so far, we're pretty evenly split except for silver.
 
TE color

I would have preferred a dark blue, but of course that was not one on the choices. After looking at the pics of all the colors I just thought the salsa looked the fastest! Plus, all of my new four wheelers have been red with black tops, so the salsa red with a black roof rack kept my artistic streak going.
 
I like contrast of silver to the TE's black trim - plus as others have said, it looks clean in virtually any condition. Having said that, I couldn't find one when I was buying my 2nd fifth gen and wound up with a mag grey TE. It is growing on me. I suspect in the winter the MG will really 'pop.'
