I know this topic has been discussed but have not really found the answer that I am looking for. I just put OME 890 coils in last year, I have a tool box in the back that is it so far. The rear has sagged at least 2” and now it looks like a prerunner! I plan on a rear bumper very soon so that will add even more weight, I don’t two with my truck and seldom have more than one other person in the truck with me. What I need to know is if the OME 891’s are what I need, but I still want all the height I was suppose to gain by the 890’s. Or do LC springs handle weight and height better. I am honestly very disappointed that they have sagged so badly. I put four people in the truck last weekend and the rear bottomed out when a hit a good bump! I maybe put 3000 miles on the truck last year and it just looks goofy like I picked up two fat girls at the bar, which in my college days would have been completely possible… If anyone has any suggestions for me, thanks.

It sounds like you carry a good bit of weight in the back, and if you plan on adding a rear bumper that'll be a significant amount more. Have you looked at the OME 851 or 861s? They're heavy duty coils for Land Cruisers. A few guys on here run them. [MENTION=44220]BigFishAllDay[/MENTION] runs the 861s I know for sure with a lot of weight and aftermarket bumper. I'd read through his build.

It all depends on how you want it to look. If you throw 861s in the back you will not get it level. Personally I prefer a more level look so I took a gamble on 9 wraps and it worked out. My rear is only a half inch higher than the front. BFAD will be able to chime in with a comparison on the two because I've only run LC coils.
Edit: with my 9 wraps pressed down from the weight I get better handling manners than people without. Before I added weight my old 7 wraps were jumpy on bumps so if your planning on adding rear weight you don't need to worry about that as much. Also just completed a move to colorado. Truck completely full with 3 people and I was still level. So they hold weight decently

Not for carrying considerable weight.
Go with The 861 if you like a decent amount of rake, LC 9 wraps if you are looking for a more level ride. Basically what has already been stated above.
Perfect, this is just what I was after. I have Toytec coilovers in the front so I can adjust it a bit if need be, but I want the truck level. The tool box I built and it I would guess it weighs around 200lbs with all my recovery and trail maintenance gear. Putting a bumper on the back will be another 150lbs I’m sure (I over build stuff). For sagging so much these OME springs don’t really flex that great either. I may go with the 9 wrap LC’s, anyone know where I can get a deal on a set?

To be safe (rear bumper will be fairly soon) I’ll say there will be an additional 400lbs all the time. The front I have your Bilstein coilovers up so I’m about 3.5” of lift that I am trying to make level.

Have a pair of lx450 that I love. Gives about 4 1/2 inches of lift unloaded. Don't notice any sag when I have it loaded with about 150lbs worth of stuff and the ride is nice and soft. Not to forget the crazy flex they provide...
