What's funny is that Bitron claims it's product "Oxygenates fuel; more complete combustion"

Odd.. isn't that what MTBE does? The very reason they oxygenate fuel in the winter is to reduce air pollutants! And as we've found, oxygenated fuel kills the performance in our vehicles.

bryancos, I don't have any experience with Bitron and don't know anything about their products. If you want more information about LCD products (FP and LC) try bobistheoilguy.com and go to the section on additives. If you want an analysis of the two products contact Dyson Analysis. The products are simple, they don't make wild claims and the stuff does as advertised. They have been around for a long time, since the 50's I think and they have never been chased off the market by the FTC. It's a small company and you can call them and speak to the owner. His name is Jeff and I primise you he isn't a salesman with snake oil. There are a lot of people on bobistheoilguy.com and a lot of information from users, some that do uoa's (used oil analysis), frequently. That's a better source of information than an add.

Go to their web site, buy the stuff on line and follow the directions. I goes something like this. FP=1oz per 5 gal gas

LC shock dose (first dose) 4 oz in the oil, maintenance dose = 1 oz ever 1k miles..

With the FP don't worry about putting it in just before you gas up, just pour the dose in when you get home from the gas station, your driving will mix it up just fine.

The stuff does what it claims to do. They don't make wild promises or crazy claims.

So what kind of MPG gains are you seeing with FP?

My Civic went from 37mpg to 39 over about 10 tanks. I ignored the first couple of tanks because if you drive expecting better mileage you'll get it, no matter what you pour in the tank. That increase looks like 5% in a very carefully maintained car, driven, as always, in a manner that you would expect to get good mileage, before and after using FP. I also use synthetic oil in the engine and transmission and run the tires at the max sidewall pressure (40 psi with Michelin tires). I don't believe in most additives and no gadgets, magnets, spinning air or miracle products.

an increase of 2 miles is all you got?that and a few more miles could be the difference between a lead foot and gradual acceleration

That's 2 mpg better in this hot spell, now using the a/c all the time in a vehicle that is already using synthetic oil and carefully driven. If I turned off the a/c it might be another mile per gallon or so. If you're expecting a 30 % increase then you must believe the wild claims that other products make and you'd better go buy one of those.

All im saying is it seems that the gain in mpg you got could come from alot of other factors, I mean honestly,a 2 mile gain is very little increase, but if it works for you then I guess I cant knock it so either way. Cheers to you

Lime02sport, the Honda is driven the same route at the same time and I really try to drive for good mileage, synthetic oil, tires pumped up to max and staying away from the brake pedal. I really try. So, after all that, to get a 5% increase is a surprise. It's safe to say the only variable is the FP. I know there are products that promise a lot more and when you look for better mileage you get it, just based on your driving. There are only three products I use now, other than oil and gasoline, that's FP, LC and Auto-RX. All three work, infact they work as advertised.
