Bilstein 5100 - .85 Pic`s

They are the Gunmetal. They discontinued the Anthracite. These wheels have more of a "Graphite" color to them imo.

Hmmm.... that truck looks familiar... [emoji51]

Not the best pics. Just got the alignment done and it is the PERFECT amount of lift and the ride quality is 100% better. I'll post more later

When you have a full load in back, does the nose look considerably higher?

Question:

I am going to go the 5100 route on all 4 corners. I am not looking for a "lift" rather tighten up the ride especially the nose dive.

The front will be set at the 0.85 setting. I want to keep the rear stock

My concern is putting weight in the rear I don't want it to sag with reverse rake when loaded up.

Would I need anything extra besides the shock to keep it from sagging in the rear when weight is added?

Nothing crazy for weight will be loaded up just camping gear

You should be fine. I (essentially) have the exact same "ride & rake" that you will have, only about an inch higher (both front and back). I have loaded mine down plenty of times with luggage for family of four, camping gear a couple of times as well. And also, plenty of times with 300-400 lbs of surgical trays.... even in that last scenario, truck still had some sight (normal) rake. If anything, possibly a level ride.

No, I’m running 1.75 settings (both) up front... and 1 inch rear cornfed spacers on the back.

Nice! About to do the same setup on Friday. Already have 5100's up front set at 0.85. Got some 5100's for the rear, and cornfed 1 inch spacers. Going to get the front adjusted to 1.75. I'm hoping its not TOO much of a noticeable difference for my wife. She thinks I'm just changing out my rear shocks and nothing more. She doesn't want me to lift the truck, but I figured 1 inch shouldn't be TOO noticeable. We'll see.

Here is mine. Stock rear suspension, front Bilstein 5100's @ .85 and 275 70/17 BFG K02s.

You need to have quite a hefty amount of weight in rear to give reverse rake look. I have had quite a loaded up trunk and it sat level if not a bit of forward rake still.

Thanks, just wasn't sure if there was potentially any added strain on the factory springs and cause them to sag over time.

I doubt she will. Honestly, 98% of the laymen wouldn’t even notice my lift next to stock height. You have to be a Runner fan to really notice. It’s only when you get to the 3-2 lifts that it gets readily noticeable.

LOL. She complains about my truck as is right now. She's short, and has to ride in the back due to the recall on my passenger front airbag. She hates I took off the factory running boards and put on N-Fab side steps. I'll just blame it on the rear shocks needing to settle if she does notice it.

Stupid Question Warning...look away now.**

I know I'm a little late to this thread but...you can put after market (non-OEM) shocks on either end and leave the stock stuff in place and it's all good?

**new to the suspension upgrading thing...

That's awesome.
