Hello. So in using stock springs with the 5100's the rear springs come loose??!! Are others having this issue? I'm looking at doing 5100's front and rear with stock springs (08 V8).

Hi all, this thread was very helpful for me (thanks everyone!), so I want to contribute with my info. Hopefully this is valuable for the next person.
Just installed a full set of Bilstein 5100s, front and rear. Fronts set at 0.85". OEM springs, no spacers.
The end result: front went up 1.25" and rear went up .5".
I was looking for a mild lift and am very stoked with the results. Was able to get new Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires in 265/70/17 to fit without rubbing.

I too just went with 5100s all around and new front stock springs. .85 setting. KYB mounts. I was surprised the car seems to ride softer than the xreas on pavement and handling is also very good. Cant wait to take it on the beach this fall. Very satisfied with this set up.

I just finished up the whole setup. 5100’s front and back, no spacers, KYB mounts, stock springs (front ones are new, but they’re OEM spec moogs) .85” setting up front. I got about .5” increase in the back and just over 1” up front. The running boards sit perfectly level, but there’s still a tad bit of front rake. Happy with the way it looks. I pull a trailer from Columbus, OH to central PA a couple times a year, so I didn’t want the negative rake.
Rides so much smoother than before. The old shocks had been leaking for quite some time and had practically zero rebound to them at all. Once my Cooper Discoverers are worn, I’ll go up a tire size for sure.

Will this be all I need for my 08 V8? I do not have XREAS and would like to get all components at once to be installed. I have heard good things in reading through the threads about the Moog FJ springs and I plan on .85 on the Billys. Will I need a spacer in the rear if I am keeping the stock rear spring?
Any advice would be great. Thank you
