Bilstein 5100's & Cornfed spacers arrived

Received all the parts.

The cornfed spacers arrived Thursday, took only a week on the nose. Cornfed was great! I emailed them and had a reply in minutes with their PAYPAL links for ordering. A day later (yesterday) the Bilsteins arrive from Total Automotive Performance. Now need to make that install date!

Where are you in WA? I could teach you how to install it for free. Very simple.
 
What setting are you using in front and how thick are the spacers. Thinking identical setup at 1.75 and small spacers in rear from cornfed as well. Get it in and please share how it drives comparing before after!
 
blue15 - Good choice - That is the same set up I have, and the ride is so much better than stock. Couldn't tell from your photo the size of the rear cornfed's though?

I have 1" rear cornfed spacers and the front 5100's 1.75". I also have spidertrax spacers. jbstrd - too bad you weren't in Colo, would have enjoyed learning how to DIY as I am looking at small top plate spacers for the front rather than setting them at 2.5" - fun to ponder different configurations, and actually doing that at home would be even better.

No intent to hijack, but since some are asking what this configuration looks like. this is a little uphill and have about 1" rake when on level ground -

I have the same setup, but no spidertrax. Tires are 275 Copper AT3's

Any reason you would add a top plate spacer rather than adjust the notch on the strut to 2.5"? If you run a spacer on top of the coilover assembly, you risk causing other issues, like over extending your shock and ruining it.

I have read that the 2.5 setting provides a rougher ride and maxes out the shock, and possibly a better way to go with some set ups is leave the fronts at 1.75' add a small top plate spacer?? I'll admit, limited experience with these set ups, and going on what others have posted so certainly open for suggestions. I really like the ride as it is, mainly want to level it out a little more for personal preference. Are there any draw backs or limitations with the fronts at 2.5"? rougher ride? I might need to increase the width of the cornfeds in back depending how much higher the 2.5 will lift the front if I went that route.

I am in no way a suspension expert, but I know the roughness if a ride is very subjective. I have not heard about the over-extending issue with the 5100's at the 2.5" setting, but I have not researched them extensively. I know of several people who have used the 5100's at the highest setting who are happy. Two people in particular ( [MENTION=100172]Jim82[/MENTION] and [MENTION=115127]BtownB[/MENTION] ) I lifted to the 2.5" setting with a 1.5" OME 895E lift coil in the rear. They are both very happy with this setup and I have not heard of any issues with it. Personally, I would avoid the top plate spacer and run lift coils in the rear.
 
2.5/1.5 5100s and it rides better than stock. I haven't had limiting issues aside from the UCA. If I flex enough I can hit the coils.

Trucks looking great, man! Tires Toyo AT2's - what size are you running and have any rubbing?
 
Same set up as mine. Love everything about it.

Using the 1.75. Will post pics and how it rides. Others love the mild set up!

Install is this Monday.

Set at 1.75 and the 1" cornfed in rear. I cant wait!
