I just went under the car and re-checked the skid plate bolts and all is fine. Sound is still there.

Its weird, it does not make the sound in a specific way. Not very easy to repeat. Usually when I back up at an angle, switch from drive to reverse or vise versa.

Its not a squeaky sound. More of a quite or mild thud

Does your clunk sound happen when you brake? I have slight millimeter of movement in my brake pads when in reverse and applying the brakes. When I took it in, we all thought it was movement in the frame or suspension but found it in the brake pads.

It only started after the suspension install so I am limiting it to what I touched correct?

Re check torque on everything, especially on the two lower ball joint bolts, if those are loose you will hear noises when turing or hitting bumps since the whole thing will be shifting.

Also, lift the front end up and start to wiggle each wheel hard in each direction, that will let you hear whats causing it better.

Here is my 2011 SR5. Kit with perches where they came. Front I added the cornfed 3/4” (3/8) top plate spacer and rear T-13 springs with 10 mm OME packer on drivers side. I’m within 1/4” left to right and have about 1 3/8” rake still.

Was overcast all weekend so pictures aren’t the best, I’ll post better when my Ray10’s get put on.

Love the ride so far, not what I’d describe as harsh at all, just way more composed in all aspects. Install time with me and a friend was an hour per side front and about 45 minutes per side rear. Only hiccup was I ordered new top hats and extended studs from wheeler, but 2 of the studs ended up spinning in the top hat so ended up reusing the old hats.

Dang, good thing I ordered from Elmhurst late Saturday night. Looks like I saved a couple hundred bucks by not waiting. It shipped out yesterday. Just checked tracking and will be here this week.

That won't be for awhile and even then, why not deal with it when we approach that bridge?

But if I had to guess, I would probably just swap for Bilstein 6112 shocks then.

Under warranty? It’s toyota it’ll last ? It’s just a part to replace

I'm not aware of any warranty on these parts, but generally there is one on new shocks. If you get a defective shock, I would contact the dealer that sold you the kit or your local dealership. They may be able to get you a replacement. If you run the Baja 500 and blow a shock, then you should have expected that and have spares on hand.

Assuming you blow a shock way down the road, I would replace both of them because whatever conditions one shock has seen....the other has seen also.

Cowboy, last question to you and everyone in this thread.

When you are doing the install for this kit, did you torque all the bolts to spec when the car was lifted or do you tighten the bolts, drop the car on the wheels and then torque all the bolts to spec ??

If its under warranty maybe they will swap it for a 4runner TRD kit. Wishfull thinking, but you never know.
