Birdie in my driveshaft ?

the rear drive shaft is making noise, what was a bird chirping constantly has been downgraded to a frog. I found the center ball in the double cardan was dry as a bone, either missing a grease stop screw or supposed to be open allowing all contents to come out. I greased it and it’s better but not ideal. Can the ball be replaced, I believe it is non OE. Also considered a new shaft from Tom Woods…..
