bizzare blurry side mirror

ok , i just finished doing the led swap on my 2011 4runner ..when i did the puddle lights i had to take the drivers side mirrior off and now that i have it back on going down the freeway today i noticed it was blurry like out of foocus really ****ed with my sight ..looked over to the passenger mirror and it is crystal clear ...wtf ??? any ideas ???

Have you cleaned off the smudgy fingerprints from the face? There is no focusing capability in those mirrors.

Assuming that it was not that way before your mod, I am going to guess that the mirror is not yet placed correctly within it's mounting points and you are seeing it vibrate, causing the blurring.

Clever thought .... and, in which case, it'd be clear when parked, and blurry when moving.

Correct me if i'm wrong, it is just a theory..

The mirror is a reflective lens, right? right. (the evidence of that is the actual statement that objects tend to be farther than they appear in manual).
What I do know about lenses is if you change their physical property (shape, bend them etc) they'll change their focal point, thus fvcking up the focus.

can it be that a) mirror is not fully installed in the place (so it is slightly bent?) b) mirror was damaged during install? c) mirror was installed backwards/upside down etc?

The issue was it wasn't clipped in properly and the mirror was actually distorted not vibrating . i remounted it and all seems fine now ..
