Blacked out headlight mod on reflector housings (pics inside)

Ill have to wait until I wash the car next, or clean the lights. We've had snow on the ground for the last few weeks and the roads are pretty dirty. The 4runner has been trashed, and there has been no reason to clean it up.

The pictures wouldnt show much now, since everything is covered in salt/dirt. The fogs turned out good though. From a distance the whole housing just looks black because....it is haha. You can see a little more detail up close, but theres not much to see. Just the projector lens and a solid black housing.

now i know the headlights are not affected by the blacked out, but are the fogs? does it dim it? the only way to paint the fogs is to paint the reflective piece cause thats all thats there, right? *scratching head

From my understanding, the reflective piece doesnt actually reflect anything, since the 03-05 uses a projector lense. Regardless, my pattern and brightness were not effected at all.

On the 06+, you would not want to paint this piece because they do not have projector fogs. I

i blacked my grill. SUPER easy.
but heres a pic of the before and after.

it wasnt chrome tho. color keyed. i tihnk black makes it look more... aggressive. and the emblem isnt glued, its held on by clips.

is aggressive imo


i think all blacked housing mods should be a sticky so there arent many reposts
