Very nice write up! I got the same color truck but my headlights are different. I don't think anyone has blacked out the 2004 sr5 lights. Also does it seal back up well? I'd be worried about moisture getting back in. I like your plasti dipped emblems and grille!

I guess I should have used a different term. The Fogging on my isnt cause by water vapor its the plastic is getting dried out from UV damage I guess.

Can I just spray over the chrome. Is sanding the chrome a must? I'm wanting to do this mod on Saturday And I'm just worried about the oven part. Mainly the putting back together. If I put it back in the oven and then hold it down with clamps will that work?

Me too man, I know that feeling, but take my word for it, you don't want the paint coming off 6 months down the road and you're thinking oh sh!t I should have scuffed the chrome

The oven part was scary for me too. I didnt have the money to get new headlights if I broke these but I jumped into it. Followed the instructions and bam to this day no issues just perdy

I used easy off oven cleaner that someone else recommended and I didnt have to sand a thing. Gives you a nice clean surface for the paint to stick! Just spray on and watch while you drink a beer..

Heading over to lowes tomorrow to pick up the paint and sandpaper and doing a late night attempt at it. What's the best black paint to use. And should i also use a clear coat of something afterwards?
