Thanks 9Hooker, I couldn't remember where I had seen the headlights done. Yours are what made me wanna paint mine.
I used this thread http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/65812-installing-hid-kit-2010-sr5-pics.html from Philsey along with the repair manual to get the front off. I was a little apprehensive at first to do it by myself but it was much easier to handle than I thought.
The headlights went into the oven at 230F for eight minutes (this was an average of three or four writeups that I found) and they came apart easily. I only wish I had a picture of me pulling the headlights apart with two oven mitts on.

does anyone know who's rig this is and what sort of lights those are? I like the way they fit flush like that.
Those lights are from Rigid industries and I think that is the truck that the owner built for somebody. I haven't even taken delivery of my new 2011 T4R yet and my lights have already arrived. Those are their 6" LED lights. Not cheap either. I paid around $500 for mine.

Blkmajic5, how did you get the side and rear chrome strips off to paint them? or did you do in while it was still on the 4runner?

i couldnt find any Go Rhino steps for the 5th gen 4Runner online, just the hitch steps. if someone can find them theyre about half the price of n-fabs. btw from my experience with these on full-size chevy's is they can double as a rock slider.

Headlights: paint surrounds
Front bumper trim: wrap w/ black vinyl
Fog light surrounds: wrap w/ black vinyl
Rocker trim: wrap w/ black vinyl
Door handles: disassemble and paint?
Rear bumper trim: wrap w/ black vinyl
Tailgate garnish: wrap w/ black vinyl, reattach 4RUNNER lettering & badge
Roof rails: wrap w/ black vinyl
I'm stock other than my Huskey mudguards. When I have to replace tires, I think that I'd like to go with something that is a good onroad and offroad tire and maybe paint the stock wheels satin black. To me, though, this plan is all or nothing. I think the vehicle will look wrong if I don't do it all but I'm having a tough time imagining it all done.
Has anyone with blizzard pearl done a majority of these mods? Definitely grateful if someone posts pics.

Also like to know the answer to this one.
Completing my Satoshi Grille at my shop tomorrow...102 outside and not cost efficient to cool down the shop today. Would like to start de-chroming this week.
