Some of you guys have way too much time and money to burn. This whole oil analysis thing is as helpful as black magic because it only gives you a snapshot of the chemical ingredients in the oil which in and of itself is one dimensional as what really matters is how the engine components are doing at any given point in time.
Just be a good owner like we all are and follow the recommended maintenance schedule. That's all you need. If youre anal retentive then it never hurts to go above and beyond. It is a toyota for goodness sake! If oil analysis is fun for you then go on and enjoy yourselve$.
Just my thoughts.

This whole oil analysis thing is as helpful as black magic because it only gives you a snapshot of the chemical ingredients in the oil which in and of itself is one dimensional as what really matters is how the engine components are doing at any given point in time. Only Toyota has the access, resources and people to make recommendations so follow them and enjoy the drive. It is a lot easier to send in oil samples reading about a synopsis put together by dr who with zero liability than to have someone tear down your engine to do a thorough scientific and visual examination. But who does that? No one. Why? It is not economically feasible and we trust the manufacturer's recommendations, that they've backed up their product with real know how. If you didn't trust the manufacturer why would you have purchased the product in the first place?
It's one thing to send a sample in to compare say fresh factory fill to 50k old oil but what I think most rational people care about is how healthy is my engine at the end of the day?

Another oil analysis done and everything looks great. Good folks at Blackstone got it done pretty quick. Only time I got a negative report back is when I had a K&N filter on there, which sent dirt and crap straight through. This spiked the silicon levels way up. Got some good ol' paper filters (I use OEM and NAPA Gold/Wix) and all is back to normal.
Toyota Australia '12 FJCruiser OCI is 6 months 10,000 km. Recommended oil is 5w30, 10w30, and higher. Highest OCI for Toyota Aus is 9 months/15,000 kms. Are they just trying to drive ya crazy?
Snip
Edit: Oh yeah the copper was 44 with a universal average being 6, the molybdenum was 576 with the universal avarage being 80, and boron was 65 with and avarage of 40 but they did not say anything about those. Everything else was very close or well under avarage.
I did but that was a year ago. Wasn't too hard to find on the Toyota AU website.Do you have any documentation on this?
Your Moly # of 576 is high, nothing wrong there but from other Toy 0w20 samples there seems to be a wide variance.
My first sample sent in at 1350 miles copper=258
Second sample new Toy 0w20 oil with 4650 miles copper = 194
See below similar numbers to my samples.

Here is the actual report. It took about two weeks after I mailed the sample to get the report.
..... I also made mention of how the 2010 1GR-FE is only rated for 5000mi even on 0w20 while the 2011+ models are listed for 10k miles.
