Sure can! But you will probably rip your fenders, rear quarter panels, fender liners, side molding, and bumper trim to shreds.
If that doesn't bother you than go for it.

Harper I realize this is an extremely old post but I am curious where you found this picture? I've been looking for this type of information for the 5th Gen and possibly the 4th Gen as well.

Found it in the Collision Repair manual for the 5th gen, unfortunately it does not appear under 4th gen's collision repair manual.

My question is has anyone trimmed the lower fender mount too? See Picture below.

Pretty much straight across the pinch weld above the bolt. However, mine was mostly because my sliders run up to the end. This does mean the fender is not tight and can move when pushed on but it doesn't bother me. Just want to warn you if you do the same thing, this is also where the fender is attached to a bracket to make the body panel tight. Mine is not attached back there at all now. I'm ok with that, but just make sure you are ok with that before you cut.

That's what I thought would happen. I might just go to the bolt and around to give a little more room.

I didn't trim the pinch weld, just took a BAH to it.

Mine wasn't so much the pinch weld as much as the fender mount. Hammer the pinch weld, don't cut it. It makes sense when you get in there. I don't have any good pics.

I might just hit up my friend who makes roll cages and does stitch welding on races cars. Not his cup of tee but I'll ask ...
I just showed this thread to my neighbor at work to see if he can chop and weld, he re-inforce frames for those bouncing low riders all day at work. He said he could easily do this, and leave it similar to how Duc left his.
