Brakes keep sticking at low speed

Has anybody been through this and found repairs. When I start slowing down you can feel the brakes grab and then just stop the vehicle then roll back slightly when you let off the pedal. The wheel seals have been done recently since they were leaking. I adjusted the shoes to where it's free enough to spin the wheels by the hand and lubed up the park brake hinges. Every post I see no body updates. Thanks

My mechanic told me today that there was a bunch of axel oil on my brakes and the sudden stopping was from the oil lubricating the shoes then burning off and stopping suddenly. Maybe clean off the brakes real good?

I sprayed them down with brake clean real good. I'll have to check them again tomorrow and make sure there hasn't been any more leakage since the seals were replaced

once they are soaked with oil, they're ruined and need to be replaced.

the oil will continue to leach out of the friction material as they heat up.

If they have gear oil on them, then your axle seal is gone, and probably your wheel bearing.

You're going to want to get some new axle seals and o-rings. I just changed mine with my father the other day. You'll want to get a seal puller(makes stuff way easier) and a seal "putter", not even sure what the hell to call it. It gets really messy and you need to know what you're doing. And of course need to get some differential oil. Took probably 1hr 30mins for both side.

This. Contrary to intuition, oil makes the shoes stick, as it swells them.

I did the seals already just didn't replace the shoes. I only sprayed them down and scuffed them up since they were fairly new from previous owner. Didn't realize the grease would make them act like this
