Here is a great thread that I followed in preparation for this trip. There are lots of pictures and the trails are clearly named.

It took me quite awhile to go through all my pictures and sort them into the coolest and delete a bunch. Next time I will take less pictures! For these posts I've tried to take the top 20 pictures from each of the locations for the uploads.


General Trip Information
* Miles Travelled - Over 1,550 miles travelled round trip from San Diego, CA
* Gas - At ~ $3.5-$4 per gallon it was roughly $200 each way
* Crew - Me and my neighbour
* Camping Gear - CURSE YOU REI for draining my wallet; I already have a lot of gear yet I still buy more per trip

Day 03 - Lower Gemini Bridges Trail and Hiking Path

* 2WD Difficulty: 1-2 out of 10
* Scenic: Pretty good
* Trail length: 45 mins - 1 hour to the end of the trail; from there you walk about 10 minutes.

* Scenic: Pretty good

Day 03 - Famous Slickrock Bike Trail

Report:
* Well we only made it about 1/3 down this trail before turning back
* It was over 90 F out there on the rock and we started to run out of water
* Also the trail is insane - so there's that

Wow, these pictures are stunning! I can't wait to see the rest. The desert scenery is so much prettier to me than the scenery we have here around Alabama. I used to live out in that area of the country kinda when I was a kid, but I don't remember too much of it. I would love to make it back out there again, but unfortunately it's probably 4,000 miles round trip for myself. If gas keeps going down and stays down maybe I will be able to make it out there for a trip though. Gas just hit $1.99 here, so that would definitely help.

I drove right through the area on my way to colorado. Really wish I would have had time to cruise around

Great pics as always Brian.

Is that the Colorado? I rafted it from Grand Junction to Lake Mead one April. Horseshoe Bend was probably my favorite spot.

That river you see is in Canyonlands National Park near Moan. The river pictures were taken at a place called Confluence Overlook. It is where the Green River meets the Colorado.
