The plugs are from a Pontiac vibe or Toyota matrix. They're two plug. For low wattage 3 prong I carry an adapter plug.
Mostly I use them for charging small things, like handheld radios.

Love the prtojectors but having issue with the TRS controller shorting out. I'm on my third one but also ordered a eBay simpler dual relay harness. Issue is running high beams for hours ends up faulting the trscontroller.

Dunes were OK but no one there and I wasn't feeling very brave. Pretty low angle sand heated the trans up so I didn't do a whole lot. I got enough in to test out the new bumps though, nice to have the front end more controlled.

You're wiser than me... I aired down to 16psi and charged in blind. My wife encouraged me to climb one of the larger dunes to take a pic on top. There was a drop off on the other side, so I turned to follow the top of the dune and got stuck with a rather large drop on either side and nothing to winch off of but small trees. Pulled a few out of the ground, the last one held long enough to get me out. VERY lucky. No one was out there (it was a Tuesday) and it was a longgggg walk to find anyone.
I think I am going to order some of the wheelers bumpstops for the newer Tacomas... That deal on the chubbys was still a bit steep for me.

I was thinking of you while out there.
I read your post on how you got stuck a while back. My trip was a lot of pavement, with a few small excursions. I had nothing on me to get out and with just 2 people on rental quads, I knew I'd be walking. I had my OBA malfunction so I didn't want to air down either.Getting the front bumps was a total impulse buy that I questioned later. The rear is nice to have so you dont slam it full of gear and that was the most noticeable upgrade.
Soak your OE bumps with PB blaster for at least a day. You'll need a 3" jaw pipe wrench to get them off. HF sells one for about ~$18. The factory bumps were a pain for me to get off.

After a long road trip last year, I've began casually looking at fridges.
One of the things I didn't want is a large fridge. I didn't want to dedicate a bunch of space, a slide out tray, and so forth. I only run two small coolers today, and those fit behind the seats. I was after something similar to my existing coolers. I came up with a Dometic/Waeco CF-18 fridge. Big enough to cool a few cans, and keep all the meat frozen/cold.
I tried it out the other night, froze solid 2 quarts of water in little time. Turned it off over night and had about 50% melt overnight. After 24 hours, it was down to 75%.
I also added 2 aux 12V ports on the right side rear seat for the fridge and for a charger for cell phones at night. I used some tacoma sockets and its wired to a relay/switch.

Spent the day fighting with a Chinese HID harness. Found out the harness had a short in it after nothing making sense and an hour at it.
Given the switched grounds I had to swap wires and resplice the relay. The easiest way to explain it is the relay selenoids become the load rather than the bulb and completes the circuit. No more morimoto harness, so now maybe I CA. Have high beams on for hours without cooking the controller.

Its a im 2400 Storm case, which is now owned by pelican. I got it on ebay for 40 bucks. I wanted something I could set outside at night or on the roof and not worry about it.

yea, universal poly has some with a hole in it. Might work to pass the tire cable. Pretty spendy though, so it would have to be a good fit.

Saving space for aux tank.
I want to add about 10 gals or so.
The only technical issue I found with an aux tank is integration with the main. I've seen a lot of really complicated discussions, and its really not that difficult.
I'm going to use a prado 90 style filler top graphed onto a 3rd gen tube. Its a hole/tube for each the main and aux tank. A simple switch to control a pump from the aux to a tap on the main fill tube. No issues that way except a bit of time to pump from the aux to the main. Overfill just recirculates but cant overpressure anything. AU designs are like this.
I've got to drop by death's and get a tube to modify. The tube is the only piece that will require much effort I think. The other time sink will be the gauge.

variable resistance and set points red LED gauge I will integrate with the aux sender and put in an OEM switch blank.
