bubbling in guage cluster

Hey guys i have some bubbling in the tach and temp guages in the cluster of my 01 SR5..that black film stuff or whatever it is is bubbling up in some spots...is that replaceable? pics to follow

I have the same thing. There's a lot of aftermarket replacements out there where you can change the color etc. but I've not pulled the trigger yet due to how big of a pain it is to pull the dash apart. Be leery though of ones you have to "stretch" over the needles... could stretch out of shape.

Pulling the instrument unit is not a pain. I pulled mine to replace the plastic front. About 30 minutes for entire job. I have no idea how hard it would be to replace the black matting however.

I agree I replaced the bulbs for led. And it was easy. I ectually seperated the clear plastic from the gauges to clean it. And it couldn't of been any easier
