Ordered the Budbuilt Sliders with the bump-out and full tread plate...which all costs extra. Took about 3 1/2 weeks including time at the powder-coaters(xtra$) from order to delivery, and I had a Toyota certified mechanic help me (I was his helper) install, since this 2014 Trail has less than 2,000 miles on the clock---I didn't want to break anything or screw up my warranty.
These things fit perfectly, and as others have reported, we didn't use all of the bolts, as the passenger side only used 9, and a friend of mine who weighs 300lbs. stood on that side and they "didn't move". Passenger side required a slight repositioning of a brake cable bracket, and on the driver side, he had to loosen up the factory fuel tank skid plate (not the tank!), and the driver side took 15, which used some of the tank skid attachment points for more rigidity.
Truthfully, since I'm not lifted, they don't help this 6'2" guy clamber in and out, but they'll help shorter people, and I've already seen where somebody tried to throw their door open on my passenger side, and I've got some of their paint and a small nick on my sliders. Nice to know I've got someplace to jack the the sides up from, too. One last thing, they came wrapped to go to the moon and back, and were in pristine condition and came to me from 2000 miles away via FedEx....they weigh 81 lbs. "each side" and are the real deal---not cheap, but expertly crafted and a perfect fit!:driving:
