What trail is that on? I did not see that one yesterday.

That was from wildcat stairway. Be glad you did not see it LOL. I don't think I would have done it if I would have seen it first, but once you are on the trail there is no turning back (literally no way to turn around). Lots of body damage potential on that one now. It has always been a level 5, but I think it is much worse now (mainly at the bypass exit). The regular exit is buggy only.

[MENTION=809]fattire[/MENTION] took some damage to his rear bumper cover and the only reason we made it relatively unscathed was that the guys we were with knew all the lines. Even then, it was very tricky. The exit is horrific, You have to make a hard turn and go straight up, but there are huge rocks to catch your diff on and it is steep. Also. there are a couple of big ruts you have to straddle along the trail, but there are tree stumps right in the line you want to take. There is also mud in the ruts so just a tiny bit off and you slide right down. I saw a lot of wheels in the air... In all honesty, my truck did it easy, but it was more about the tires, suspension and gearing than my skill.

I got some video of some of it that I may post later. Wish there was some of the exit.

^THIS! 50 yards in, tops, and [MENTION=106176]wfo9[/MENTION] and I are looking at each other like "WTF did we just sign up for?!" The whole thing was a crazy, alternating off-camber chute. As mentioned, the only reason we made it was due to the experience of the folks from our group that led us through.

We have our own hair raising story, but not quite as bad as yours. We were parked under a tree on the top of the mountain and looked at the trail that comes straight up to the top right by the tree. We walked down the first hundred yards or so and thought, it's steep and has some big ledges, but nothing off camber and should be no problem. Drove to the bottom and started up. We're met with huge, dug out ledges covered in loose dirt and golf ball size rocks. If you got out to spot, it was too steep to even walk on without sliding or even falling. We were making our way to the top though, and feeling like bada$$es. However, I'm thinking to myself I would never want to drive down this trail...

As we wind through the trees almost at the top, we round a small corner into a clearing and are staring up at the exit obstacle...a six foot high nearly vertical ledge. Only a maniac in a buggy could make it up this thing. So we reluctantly turn around and start back down dreading descending the ledges we just climbed. In many places I stepped on the brakes only to have the truck ski down the slope on the loose broken rock. Finally make it down what I swear is the most hair raising descent I have ever done, including Red Cone or anything on Hell's Revenge (which are actually easy). We decided to take it easy and cruised over to the falls and ran into you all exiting the creek.
