Bushwacker made fenders for the 5th gen!!

Trying to figure out running boards that work with Bushwacker flares?

I picked this one up for my wife and it came as seen, I've never been a huge fan of this style of flares but I must say they are really growing on me, pretty sure they will stay on, I may just paint the bolts black though

Do you happen to know which running boards came on your wife's 4runner? We just installed a set of running boards bought locally and they didn't fit with the Bushwacker pocket flares. Thanks ahead of time or if anyone else has insight. We've only had ours for about a week!

Not great for off roading but better than nothing. You can get them online or at any dealer but the dealers around us (I also live in PDX) will jack the price up.

Hey, Have any of you seen a Concrete TRD PRO with bushwackers? That is my dream setup, with a Gobi rack, 285's, spacer lifts, etc... Ive looked everywhere but havent seen anyone do it on a Concrete gray yet.

My pet peeve is fender flares in any vehicle where the tire width of wheel offset doesn’t require it. Think they look ridiculous.

Anyone know the cost to color match? I haven't seen it anywhere on this thread... Priced Line-X and they want 100 a fender! Thought that was outrageous and I love the look of the black color matched

I had mine color matched to magnetic grey. The paint and prep to have them color matched was as much as the fenders.... so ~400 for the whole set of flares and another 400 for the color match. You can also try the duplicolor color match spray paint. I have used that for other external accessories and it is close but not an exact match (at least for magnetic grey)

Has anyone tried the RDJ fender flares? They make a set that are flush and do not have the fake bolts around the upper part of the flare.

What lift is needed for Bushwacker flares?

I just got my 4runner a leveling kit and equipped with 285/70/17s, does anyone know if this is enough lift to fit the Bushwacker Fender flares?

Drilling through the fenders and actually bolting the fender flares on?

I know the Bushwacker fender flares are stick on with faux bolts but.... does anyone have any real life experience with drilling new holes in the fenders and actually bolting the flares onto the fenders?

I'm thinking about tossing the faux bolts and actually bolting the flares to the fenders along with notching out the front passenger flare for a snorkel. Any advice would be appreciated.

My reason for digging this old thread up is I need help with finding black flat washers. There's not one mention of the washers here. I've been trying to find them but all I've found are too big in overall diameter and would look hideously out of place, even in black, and it's driving me absolutely bonkers!

I'd appreciate any info on what and where to find black flat washers of the correct diameter for this install.

No, I never did. I ended up using just the bolts with no washers and I like the look. Sorry I couldn't help you!
