The car is silver and yes, it did come with the sunroof! Had ALOT of problems with the dealer today, as they did not want to take care of the scratch on the tailgate and did not want to be held liable for it. Its not that big and only goes as deep as primer and not bare metal, but definately disappointed in their service. For anyone in the chicago area, we DO NOT reccommend Grossinger Toyota whatsoever. We got a decent price, but the service was substantially subpar. The car is silver so its not that visible, just kinda sucks that we have to live with it and it only has 40 miles so far. Little dings and scratches and chips cant be avoided, I guess, and Im sure the benefits of the car itself will outweigh the disappointment that Grossinger Toyota gave us. Other than that, I am enjoying the car and am now looking for a brush guard and hood deflector as first accessories, and T4R.ORG sticker will be in the works as well. Happy to be a new 4R owner!

Getting your first scratch, especially from the selling dealer, is a bummer. Wait until you start getting rock dings in your hood. I have used touch up paint all over my hood. Good thing it is a truck. Enjoy, good choice.

When discussing deals, you should also ask at what interest rate was the purchase financed. You might negotiate a deal at invoice only to get stuck with a higher interest rate. There's more to the deal than just the price.

Sorry you got a scratch, but you can't blame the dealer. Once you leave the dealership its your problem. I bought a new 2002 Dodge CTD 4x4 looked it over before I signed the paper work, right before they sent it to get the final clean-up. Drove straight home and was admiring my new truck and noticed a small dent scratch on the passenger side mirror. I know they did it in new vehicle cleanup but I also knew that it was my responsiblity to catch it before I drove off the lot. No dealer will fix a scratch or dent after you leave the lot, how could they???

Ya i know i cant do anything, but I know they did it from the magnet that is on the temporary dealer plates. They are so careless and just slap it on. Next time I'll just have to be more careful I guess. Sticker price was about 33,500 that was a Silver 4x4 Sport V6. Included sunroof, sport pedals, exhaust tip, emergency kit, hitch, floor mats. With tax at 7.75%, plates at about 150, doc fee close to 60...everything otd was about 32k. I got 0% financing for 36 months (opted for that rather than the 900 savings as I save over 2000 in the long run) with a 10k down payment. Hope that helps.

I would contact the GM and tell him why you think the paint was scratched and see if he can help you get it fixed at their cost.

Their GM is the worst person I ever spoke to in my life. Totally inconsiderate and not understanding. He was basically shoving me off like it wasnt his problem. The service manager was much much nicer and understanding. I dont know how the GM got his position being a d*ckhead that he is. They wanted to "try" to wetsand it only, and not paint, and have us sign a waiver that whatever the outcome, thats what it is since they were doing the work gratuitously. NO THANKS, i think i can live with a little scratch, rather than them hitting the paint with sandpaper and a buffer. The scratch is vertical about an inch in length. Im big into detailing and visit autopia.org often, so I think I will try to attack it myself over the summer after I practice the rock chips on my 03 accord first. Basically Grossinger Toyota is not gonna recieve any future business from me (mind you we have three toyotas in the house) and all negative feedback if anyone ever asks.

I've heard that some of the fix a dent places have a paint repair fix that is good quick and simple. You might try them out. Good luck and enjoy your new 4runner.
