Calling all V8 owners that want a high flow Y-pipe!!! I can do it. Need your help!

ok, the y pipe will bolt into the factory flanges behind the first set of cats and remove the 2nd set or 1 cat after depending on the year. It will also include o2 sensor bung plugs for the 03-04 models so no leakage occurs.

I've had that URD y pipe in the cart multiple times but man it's expensive for what you get. I would like something a little cheaper so that I can justify cutting the two bolt flanges off for v-bands right away. Hopefully DT comes through with something like they have for the FJ and Tacoma for us with the terribly placed electronic actuators on the V8's!

If this new y pipe has any resonators on it I will be staying away. The two Doug Thorley y pipes my brother had for his FJ decided to let little BBs rattle around in the resonator making an awful noise.

The URD pipe might be expensive but its at least stainless steel.

Really eyeing the Gibson catback too but don't want to lose too much back pressure.

I've sold a slew of the Gibson catbacks for this V8 with and without headers. The Gibson gives double the power with the headers. I'd say about 90% go with one if they are getting the headers. I have an awesome sale going on right now on the Gibson too. THere is is single straight out the back version, and now a side dual tipped version.

I got it installed and it sounds great! Its a little louder then stock, but a nice deep sound and no drone.

So, High flow DT headers + high flow Y-pipe and then high-flow cat back exhaust. What is recommended for high flow cats?
And, of course, a proper cold air intake to keep things flowing from start to finish.

I'm going to guess that just about any aftermarket cat is considered to be "high flow".

As far as CAI, be sure to do your due diligence on this one. High flow air filter usually equates to high amount of fine particles going into your engine. Bobstheoilguy website has lab tests on various CAI filters and worth a read.

Thanks for being patient. 4th gen truck is scheduled to come in 2nd week of Jan. Design, production, etc, I think, should be ready to ship end of Feb. This statement superseeds all others

Yes, I have the magnaflow high flow cats that I sell. Those give an extra 9 hp, over the stock cats, have had two people tell me this and I believe it. Now, some of those "factory replacement cats" will NOT do that, as they aren't high flow. If you call to order I can add the cats to your order, or rebill after you order the headers. The are reasonable at $78 each.

ALSO, I was able to work a little better deal on the headers, so if you've been wanting these, jump on it, only have this deal for a few days.

I had a low-end exhaust shop in town cut out my 2 rear cats and tuck the piping up higher to bolt on my skid plate higher. Cost me like $150...

Of course its not stainless steel and looks a bit like a hack-job, but it still functions perfectly fine a couple years later.

[MENTION=9]Jason B[/MENTION]. At this point they might as well just do the Headers with Cats attached that Bolt up to there Y-Pipe and just save a Lot of trouble with Welding it up. I am Sure people would be more than willing to jump all over that set up.

the more i think about it the magnaflow y-pipe looks like a great deal. even walker, bosal, and eastern cat all make one now for half the price. i prefer having the cat, wont affect performance and better air quality. ~$400+ for a couple pieces of tubing, y-pipe, and no cat???

i have at least one bad manifold and tailpipe after muffler "deleted"...welded it back a couple times and finally just took it out and stuck a turn down in it for now.

Email sent. If this and the frame recall happens, it's going to be an early Christmas.

if i have frame issues it might be time to get rid of before spending over a grand on headers, v bands, cats, y-pipe and cat-back...what and where should i look for frame problems?
