my understanding is it will work without rear cats. if thats the case i dont need rear cats but i like clean air. my 03 only has one rear cat and im interested to know if 05 dual rear cats will fit?

Not getting the long tubes, I already have my cat deleted short tubes installed but I am awaiting the y pipe very patiently... I'll post some pics during install for sure.

Only if it was a Y pipe only will it ship this week. If it was a Y pipe and headers ordered together, will ship in about a week from now when the headers are done together.

UPDATE, the the 3 y pipes that I had left earlier were all sold today! BUT, a few more Y pipes coming in 3/22, so anyone that hasn't ordered a Y, you can get one again shortly. Call or text 717-319-2100 24/7.

Thank you for reaching out to us here at Doug Thorley Headers. Currently we have begun our 1st production run and estimate that we should be ready to ship by 3/22. Unfortunately we have to finish the 1st run to know exactly how much time is spent to cost the components correctly but is appears that the Long tube T304 SS Tri-Y headers with O2 extenders will be in the $825ish range. The Y-pipes are expected to be in the $500ish or less range which are also T304 SS with resonators.



We appreciate the interest in fitment verification but we are certain that these new components will work with factory connections. The long tubes and Y-pipe either together or by themselves with be bolt in applications. The Y-pipe will also connect back to either the factory exhaust or any aftermarket system that connects to the factory connection point of the y-pipe. Below are the part numbers and description for your vehicle when they are ready.



THY-563Y-LS-C : 2005-2009 4.7L 4Runner / GX470. T304 SS Long Tube Tri-Y Headers, 1-5/8” primaries to 2-1/4” collectors. Ceramic coated inside and out, Lifetime Warranty and includes O2 sensor extensions.



89230: 2003-2009 4.7L Runner / GX470, T304 SS Y-pipe with resonators and O2 bung plug for the 03-04 models.

Edit: its here, no time to install today but hopefully this week. Parts looks like any other DT production y pipe, not nearly as pretty as the prototype unit but let's be honest I'm not here for the looks.

Interested in how the resonators in the y-pipe will affect the exhaust tone.

Quick unboxed pic. Packaged well and marked to fit 4th gen v8 and gx470, comes with hefty clamp for center joint but I may end up welding this once installed. Instructions say to reuse stock gaskets unless worn or damaged so I'd recommend ordering new gaskets while you're at it. I'm using reflex flat gaskets at the header joint due to my flat flanges welded to my headers anyway and will try to reuse the donut at the spring joint. I have a few before videos in my build thread header post and will add some after y pipe install for comparison.
