Can someone identify and name what this link is connected to the steering rack?

Link connected to the steering rack that sits right above the CV boot. It seems to be rusted to the core. Do I need to replace it? And the difficulty level for the replacement if you are to do it on your own?

It's the steering shaft u-joint. When it needs replacement steering gets 'stiff'. It can be somewhat of a 'pita' to replace depending on how rusted it is to the spline shaft on rack, you might have to get in there with some heat to get it to break free, or not. Be sure and keep your steering wheel straight during replacement.
