Can someone measure up the cargo area dimensions?

Want to make sure some equipment can fit comfortably in the back of the 4-Runner - could someone measure it up? With and without the seats down? And include floor to ceiling height too if you would.

thanks!

LOL!!!

Wrong kind of "wood working"!!!

I'm actually looking at putting a portable table saw, miter saw, and other wood working tools back there. :)

I had two coffee table boxes in the back, before. Each was 36x27x62 I think, so the combined dimensions would have been 72x54x62.

10*  You get doh's.

Well, if you want to get technical, I should have specified - the last activity in this thread was 6 years, 10 months, 22 days ago, so I though I would round to 7. :flipoff: :D

Anyway, we all have tape measures so this question should be pretty easily answered

You should have been more specific. Guess I should be the mod here :police: Nah, kidding. DONT :banplease:

Come on, somebody? Anybody? SIMPLE Dimensions 4thG Cargo

Seems like . . .

Yet amazingly, in 7 or more years, NOBODY has been able to either supply the full inside cargo dimensions (back of front seat to inside tailgate, no 3rd row, 2nd row of seats folded flat w/o headrests) of the 4th gen T4R

or

a link to where such data might be found.

Alternately, what is the single largest carton l x w x d that will fit in the back of a 4th gen 4Runner w/ seats folded flat?

Meter, feet, inches, whatever units are fine. Please!

All I want are raw dimensions inside the full cargo area. No extraneous "Gee, I don't know . . . ." filler, if y'all can restrain yourselves. [Why do people feel a need to comment just to tell us they are utterly clueless or to suggest we try Google??]

Sorry if I sound cranky, but astounded how difficult it is to get a straight answer to the simplest of questions.

The clear coat threads are astonishingly bloated with useless info--one phone call to the dealer tells much more. The dealer, howeverm doesn't know how big the cargo area in 2005 4Runner is either.

Ah, Toyota! Now a thoroughly American car company.

Couldn't you just get a tape measure and go do it yourself?

America. Gotta love it.

Huh. One might suggest inserting the cranium into the corresponding gastrointestinal outlet and completing the circuit--except obviously there is not a cubic centimeter devoid of waste matter neither fore nor aft on this unfortunately all-too-typical fly-over country narcissist.

Regrettably, such sad specimens forever remain incapable of curiosity about anyone's world but its very own--certainly, for example, there is nothing interesting in the challenges daily still smacking some guy who is missing a leg but still busting his butt to work his way upright from a wheelchair to crutches.

Yeah. We get it. Everybody here has a Toyota 4Runner parked in the driveway to simply roll on out to and rig up up some climbing webbing; then pull himself up into the cargo area, tape measure at the ready. Everybody, that is, but the one-legged vet dumb enough to hitch a ride in a rig the U.S. Congress was too damn cheap to armor.

Jeesh. Call me lazy--and cheap, too!--for trying to find the info online instead of spending $50 on a taxi to the nearest used car lot w/ a 4Runner for sale. Yup. Guilty on both counts.

America. Gotta love it.

Or do you suppose the problem instead could be that this particular troglodyte needs to extract its heavily compacted cranium contents from within the thick casing of stink? Notice the toxic trog dodged the tougher question, the one about why people with nothing to contribute still feel compelled to take up space in these forums.

I endeavor never to take advantage of the handicap, but sometimes, well, a little shaming the shiteheads is just too fun to pass up.

You seem very bitter. Calm down.
I just measured, it's 139 cubic feet

In the long run, better bitter than braindead.

Excuse me, please? "Cubic feet?"

WTF is wrong with this picture?

Sure I might have my not-so-sweet moments when I want to cry—or honestly might prefer to simply curl-up, die and get it over with.

But, no, I do not believe myself to be especially bitter, thanks. Just human. There are far too many returnees out there in far more desperate mental and physical shape than I am.

Nonetheless, what a buzzkill! I ask for the length of a 4Runner cargo area (Make that repeat a request already gone 7 years unanswered) and some smart ass suffering a terminal narcissistic disorder thinks tossing around cubic volume units to respond to a distance query makes him sound cooler than a random cripple like me.

Uh . . .

No, not really. Aside from cubic feet being not at all helpful, the choice also demonstrates an appalling lack of imagination. If the wanker's intention was to impress everybody w/ wit, picking an oddball unit—or better still, some absurdly surreal volume measure like drams, pecks, or teaspoons (f.y.i., that would be 787,200 tsps.)—might be moderately less disheartening.

Wow, this thread went downhill in a hurry.

Teknozen, the sum total of your posts on this forum so far are either complaining about a lack of available information (I'm noticing you haven't contributed any knowledge to the forum either) or insulting other members (who admittedly weren't being very helpful, but c'mon). I know it's just the internet, but a bit of civility goes a long way. I'm not surprised to see smartass replies when you ask for help in the manner you are, and that cycle brings down the entire forum.

More to the point of this thread: the cargo area is slightly wider than 4' (I've fit half sheets of plywood back there) and just about 6' long (I'm 6' and I've slept back there, but I usually sleep diagonal for a little extra room).

Edit: 10 seconds of Googling later, literally the first result has the answer. Maybe search instead of insulting people next time?

For posterity:

69" deep

41.5" between the wheel wells (could maybe squeeze 42")

34" Tall (it's rounded a bit, so approximately where the wheel ends it's 34")
