Reminds me of a time I was leading a group down Black Bear at the Summit a few years back. I turned off on a side trail shortcut below the falls and waited for the group while they took pictures. There was an FJ parked there that wasn't with our group. He had an ARB bumper with a winch on his vehicle so I started talking to him while I waited. He said he'd had the bumper and winch installed after getting badly stuck on a previous outing because he didn't want it to happen again. I asked him whether his ATRAC system or rear locker had helped any when he got stuck. He had NO idea what I was talking about. I told him he might want to consult his owner's manual regarding his 4-wheel drive system for future reference.
