Can't decide on wheels, how did y'all do it

As I'm looking at all these cool wheels for my truck, I've narrowed it down to two. I don't plan on hard core wheeling, just access roads, some mud holes that are no deeper than a few feet. More trail riding than anything really.

I'm gonna go with 275/70 ko2, no lift.
Looks wise I know that depends on my thoughts, but I like them equally LoL.
Curious to see or if anyone can give me reviews of the good bad of these two. Or just what they think looks better or is played out.

I left mine stock. :)

If I decide to get winter tires, I'll probably buy some TRD Pro wheels for them... but that is because I'm an OEM+ kind of guy.

There are a lot of good looking wheels out there, all scs wheels, fn wheels, method, etc. look great. I try to find other 4runners in my color with different wheel options and see which one I like. It's all preference, your choice
 
Those are the 2 that were the final choice for me. About the only difference, besides the style, is that the SCS are hub-centric and the Methods are lug-centric. I think that both are great wheels. I went with the Method Grid (almost identical to the mesh) and I love them.

So, this all comes down to personal taste. My biased vote is for the Methods.

Oh believe me, I scoured instagram and looked at so many setups, these are the ones I like best. Ultimately I know the look is personal preference, but I've never seen any of them in person. So I don't know about quality.

I saw the grids, but I can tell the difference beside bolts and center caps. What was the difference you noticed?

Hub centric is less prone to vibrations. He wheel centre bore size is correct and the wheel fits perfect over the hub, whereas lug centric puts more stress on the lugs, usually requires different lug nuts to keep wheel centred.

Oem wheels are usually always hub centric.

My vote is ray10's.

I'm quite happy with the oem wheels and Goodyear Duratrac tires that came on our 4R Trail when we bought it new last September. I can see no reason to waste hundreds of dollars replacing them with what may be an inferior product. Indeed, I plan to replace the oem spare with another alloy wheel and Duratrac before we hit the trails this spring. - Ted
 
Just my 2 not big on the bolt look !Been looking at Mickeys in 17x9 get little wider stance stmaxx or atp ! Again my 2 , spend if you got it !

Agree. Sure hope you never curb either one of those. Any estrogen-based life forms ever drive it?

Regardless of style, I'd pick hub-centric, because OEM.

Between the 2, i like the mesh better.

But i went an entirely different route. Black rims are all over now so i went with a machined finish. I also dont like the contrasting bolt heads on faux beadlocks.

Dont let the lugcentric/hubcentric debate make your decision. Lug centric wheels are fine and you can always add hubcentric rings for ~$10 for peace of mind.
 
I went Method 305 NV machined because I like the look of alloy against my gray 4R.

The only annoying thing I've noticed is if I park in front of my house instead of the garage and there has been snow melt, the water collects at the bottom point of the wheel in a little valley between the wheel face and the "street lock" (faux bead lock ring). It turns to ice over night. It melts fairly quickly once you start driving and have to stop for red lights/stops signs and such.

Otherwise, I'm very happy with my Methods.
 
I wanted some Method Double Standards but ending up staying stock after a guy with an older Tacoma at the tire shop talked me into it. He said the newer trail wheels were great for a stock wheel, and that unless I absolutely loved an aftermarket option, then staying stock was a great option.
 
I went with the FN FX pro wheels after seeing them on this forum. Put on stock size KO2s with them. Way happy with the new stance from the 8" width and zero offset.
