Cargo area panel removal

Has anyone removed the panels in the rear cargo area? Specifically I need to remove the upper trim surrounding the cargo area windows.

It looks as though the trim around the window is in two pieces and the rear piece could be popped off from the top, but I dont want to yank on it too hard and break any clips, hooks, etc.

I think this is the area you're talking about? Be careful about trying to remove the entire piece, I am not positive but it looks like the bottom portion tucks under the fender well trim, so that might need to come off first...

The picture below should show you where all the clips are though if you want to give it a stab. If it was me, I would probably start at the top and release those clips first. Work my way down if I need to reach further in, but probably avoid pulling off the whole piece if I didn't need to. Good luck dude :)

^That seconds diagram is the one I was looking for. Thanks.

I dont suppose you have a similar diagram for the other upper piece surrounding the window (the same piece that the rear seat belts extend from). I'm thinking it may be a bit more complicated to remove as there are airbags behind it.

This piece? Not positive but it doesn't seem like the air bag runs that far back so you might be okay...remember this piece also seems like it tucks under that rear wheel well trim piece at the bottom half of the cargo area so you might not be able to unclip all the clips shown. I would probably start at the top and see how far down I can safely unclip w/o removing the black portion down below.

Do you have third row seat seats? I pulled all those panels sat. The only sensor I saw for airbags was over the wheel well. It all comes off really easy, especially if your not removing the lower quarter panel trim piece.
